Microneedling Services

Do you dream of achieving a more youthful appearance but dread the thought of going under the knife? With microneedling, now you don’t have to! Also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure meant to treat fine lines, wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, and skin texture irregularities.

Schedule Consultation

Our professionals at Enrichment Skin Solutions uses a pen-like device consisting of fine, surgical-quality needles to create tiny holes to allow our serums to enter the skin to produce new collagen. The “controlled damage” sets off a wound-healing cascade, causing the body to release immune cells that generate new healthy tissue.

In a matter of a few months, your skin will not only have a smoother appearance, but fine lines and wrinkles will also begin to diminish.

For clients seeking microneedling for scars or stretch marks, the procedure helps to blend treated areas more naturally with the surrounding skin. No matter your age or issue, microneedling is a great alternative to more invasive treatments. For clients seeking even more impressive results, adding PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) treatment improves healing, pigmentation, and promotes natural collagen production. One of the major benefits of microneedling is that the procedure can be performed right in our Brooklyn Park clinic!

The expert staff at Enrichment Skin Solutions explain everything you need to know about microneedling.

What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a safe and effective procedure to treat imperfections such as wrinkles, scarring, and hyperpigmentation. As we age, these conditions become more apparent due to the decrease in natural collagen production. Microneedling is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that reverses the hands of time and leaves you with a more youthful appearance. It works by increasing collagen levels and healthy cell production using a series of tiny needles to kickstart the body’s natural healing process.

Enrichment Skin Solutions is the premier destination for brighter, healthier skin in Brooklyn Park.

Microneedling Procedure

The microneedling procedure is a quick and efficient way to treat several visible skin concerns. Microneedling is commonly used to treat issues such as:

  • Acne scars
  • Age spots
  • Crow’s feet
  • Discoloration
  • Fine lines
  • Stretch marks
  • Sun damage
  • Wrinkles

During the process, you can expect:

First, you will have a consultation so we can determine if you are a good candidate for the microneedling procedure. We will also use this time to discuss any questions or concerns you may have, how many treatments you will need for your desired results, and what you can expect during the process.

After thoroughly cleaning your skin, our professionals gently apply a handheld device across the treatment area. As the needles enter the skin, they create micro-holes that read as a wound. This spurs the natural healing process by triggering reparative and renewed collagen production. Each of these channels also helps to improve the skin’s texture. Our staff may apply a topical and numbing medication for microneedling performed on more delicate or sensitive areas.

Depending on your needs, the entire microneedling process takes approximately 15-20 minutes, allowing you to get back to your daily routine.

Precare & Aftercare Tips

While microneedling is a quick and painless process, there are a few steps you should take before and after the procedure, they include:

Microneedling Pre-Care

Taking a few simple measures before your microneedling appointment will yield the best results. Avoiding anti-inflammatory medications, such as blood thinners and NSAIDS, for two to four weeks before the procedure helps to prevent bleeding and bruising. Do not stop your blood thinners, until you have had a consult. Drink at least 64 ounces of water the day before your appointment to speed up the healing process. Avoiding alcohol, smoking, and skin exfoliating products for at least a week before the microneedling procedure will help prevent skin irritation and redness.

Microneedling Aftercare

Though your nurse practitioner will apply a moisturizer directly after your treatment, there are a few steps you can take to make the recovery process easier and quicker. Microneedling is a virtually painless process, but you may experience slight bruising, itching, redness, soreness, and/or swelling for the next two to five days after your appointment. You may also experience a tingling sensation.

Avoiding anti-inflammatory medications, such as blood thinners and NSAIDs, will help to reduce the likelihood of bruising to the area. Do not apply ice or cold compresses to the area, as it may interfere with the natural inflammatory process critical for the best results. You should also avoid prolonged sun and heat exposure for at least two weeks. Enrichment Skin Solutions offers an aftercare system for home use to help speed up the healing process.

What Does Microneedling Cost?

The overall cost of microneedling is dependent on the number of treatments needed to achieve your final goal. Clients at Enrichment Skin Solutions benefit from two to three treatments scheduled four to six weeks apart to experience the best results. During your consultation, our team will examine the area you want treated and provide you with a comprehensive estimate.
