What Is EzGEL?
Enrichment Skin Solutions offers ezGEL near Maple Grove as a specialized PRF injection. This gel combines naturally produced platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), similar to platelet-rich plasma (PRP), to rejuvenate your skin, improve acne scarring, and restore lost facial volume.
We uniquely formulate this gel for each client, which begins with placing a blood sample in a centrifuge. Rapidly spinning the blood separates its components: plasma, fibrin, and red blood cells. Next, our medical providers heat then cool the plasma, transforming it into a gel-like substance without additives or modifications.
Our providers create ezGEL in the office during your appointment. EzGEL acts as a biostimulator, promoting natural processes such as collagen stimulation, skin texture refinement, and the body’s healing response.
Why Is It Called Platelet-Rich Plasma?
Plasma has a high concentration of platelets, or microscopic cell fragments responsible for blood clotting. Platelets collect around open wounds and seal damaged veins through coagulation, forming scabs. They also release growth factors to heal the body.
A single drop of blood can contain thousands of platelets. When injected into the face or scalp during your treatment, these platelets stimulate collagen production, improving skin strength, structure, and support.
Additionally, plasma contains high levels of a protein called serum albumin, which attaches to the surface of platelets to support collagen stimulation. These heart-shaped proteins account for nearly 60% of all blood plasma proteins and help stabilize ezGEL, yielding a more sustainable treatment than traditional PRF or PRP.
What Is EzPRF?
EzPRF is the second half of ezGEL near Maple Grove.
This treatment contains platelet-rich fibrin. Fibrin is another protein found in your blood that our medical providers collect by spinning your blood sample in a centrifuge. This protein creates a sticky, mesh-like substance over open wounds, called a fibrin matrix, allowing platelets to clot at the wound site.
This fibrin matrix traps platelets at the injection site, allowing them to slowly release growth factors in a stronger, more sustainable treatment. These proteins assist in the body’s healing process and tissue regeneration. In contrast, PRP rapidly releases platelets and growth factors for a shorter, weaker treatment.
Additionally, fibrin stimulates healthy inflammation (to protect the body against contaminants), promotes healing, and helps create new blood cells.

Who Is a Good Candidate for EzGEL?

We, however, can not treat clients with the following conditions:
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Active skin infection or inflammation around the treatment site
- Thrombocytopenia, or low platelet count
- Potential allergies to any ezGEL components (this is incredibly rare, as we create ezGEL from a client’s own blood without additives)
Additionally, we ask clients to refrain from the following before receiving ezGEL near Maple Grove:
- 2 weeks before: Refrain from taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen or Advil, or other blood-thinning medications.
- 1 week before: Avoid harsh exfoliating products or other aesthetic treatments not recommended by your medical provider.
- 24 hours before: Abstain from consuming alcohol.

Consultation

Pre-Care Instructions
Stay hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment for ezGEL near Maple Grove. We recommend clients drink approximately 64 ounces of water the day before their treatment, as this helps ensure excellent blood quality for their blood draw.
Appointment
When you arrive at Enrichment Skin Solutions, your medical provider guides you to your treatment room and helps make you comfortable in a treatment chair.
Next, they draw a blood sample and place it in a centrifuge, which rapidly spins the blood to separate its different components: plasma, fibrin, and red blood cells. During this time, your provider cleanses your face of any dirt, oil, makeup, or skincare products before applying an anesthetic cream.
Your provider then, carefully injects ezGEL into targeted areas of the face, such as the undereyes, cheeks, or jawline.
Results & Downtime
Before leaving your appointment for ezGEL near Maple Grove, your provider communicates specific aftercare instructions to promote a smooth and hassle-free recovery process.
- 1 week after: Avoid excess sun exposure or sunburns.
- 1 week after: Do not use nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or other blood-thinning medications, as they can increase swelling or bruising. If you experience discomfort, we recommend taking Tylenol.
- 24 to 72 hours: Avoid touching or massaging the treated skin.
- Sleep on your back, with your head elevated, until any swelling subsides.
